1. Pickup Calendar Introduction

The Pickup Calendar is a logistics management tool used to schedule and track the pickup of shipments from a warehouse or shipping location. It provides a clear, date-based view of all scheduled pickups, allowing warehouse teams to stay organized and ensure that carriers are informed when shipments are ready. By using this calendar, businesses can streamline their shipping operations, reduce manual coordination, and avoid missed pickups or delays.

The Pickup Calendar is a simple tool that helps warehouses plan and manage when shipments are ready to be picked up. This calendar is mainly used to let the shipping carrier know that the shipment is ready and they can come to collect it from the warehouse.

This calendar specifically displays orders from the primary shipping channel, excluding those handled by carriers like DRT Transport, who manage pickups independently. When a pickup is scheduled, details such as the carrier name, shipping location, and number of orders are shown. The calendar also supports scheduling actions like "Create Pickup" and "Cancel Pickup," offering a simple interface to update pickup status and coordinate directly with the shipping carriers.

📦 Pickup Calendar Guide

The Pickup Calendar manages and schedules shipments with primary shipping carriers. It provides a clear, date-based view of upcoming pickups, helping warehouse and logistics teams stay organized and ensure timely dispatches. This calendar includes only orders from the primary shipping channel and excludes DRT Transport, as they handle their pickups independently.

📅 Calendar Navigation

At the top, you will find three main calendar views:

Month: Shows all pickups scheduled across the selected month.
Week: Displays pickups for the current week.
Day: Focuses on pickups scheduled for a single day.

To move through the calendar, use the following navigation buttons:

Previous: View the last month, week, or day (depending on the selected view).
Today: Jump directly to the current date.
Next: View the upcoming month, week, or day.

🗓️ Calendar Entries

Each date block (e.g., May 27 – June 2, 2025) shows:

Scheduled: 0: Indicates that there are currently zero pickups scheduled for that day.

When there are orders associated with a day, you will see a detailed section below the calendar that includes the following fields:

Carrier Code: A short identifier for the shipping company.
Carrier Name: The full name of the shipping carrier.
Ship From: The warehouse or location where the shipment will be picked up.
No. of Orders: The number of orders ready for pickup from that location.
Pickup Scheduled: This checkbox indicates whether a pickup has been scheduled. It is non-editable and cannot be manually checked or unchecked.

Scheduling and Managing Pickups

To schedule a pickup, right-click on the relevant row and select "Create Pickup".
Once the pickup is successfully created:
- The Pickup Scheduled checkbox will automatically be checked.
- A "Cancel Pickup" option will be enabled.
If you choose "Cancel Pickup", it will cancel the scheduled shipment for that order.
